Physical and Mental War

A war in a country is a big problem in a country. It destroy human lives. Some said that war can raise the dignity of a person if he wins the war. But if you lose you will loose your dignity and even your life.

In the novel Iliad war is one part of there lives. Trojan War is the center of story of Iliad. Trojan War was planned by Zeus because he wants to reduce the population of human race.

War can destroy lives and man's character. In the book there are many war or fight scenes. In book six of Iliad; Hector have his farewell to Andromache because he is going fight. In this scene we can say that  not only lives can be destroy but also the dignity of a man. Hector knows that if he go it is impossible for him to return home. Even he is brave enough to go to battle he lost his dignity among his men. Another example is King Agamemnon. King Agamemnon is so greedy of power and a stubborn king because of the war. He looses his character as a good king for his people. He should be a good model or example to his people but because of the war he is to greedy and abusive to his own power as a king. Achilles is a another example. Not like Hector, Achilles just fight for himself. Achilles doesn't care about his people. Achilles fight because he just wanted to have glory. Achilles looses his character as a leader he just wanted to fight for his glory.

Today we don't have war like in Iliad. Today physical war is not existing anymore but in other places there are some Cold War. Like in Iliad you can loose your character because of the Cold War.

War is not solution to our problems. We can solve problems by just letting ourselves understand ones opinion. We should learn to listen. We can avoid any conflict if we understand each other. We should learn to forgive others and make peace with each other.
